As of the 1.1 Thaw of Eons update for Wuthering Waves , we have gotten some new character banners announced. The first of these banners is for the character Jinshi. Jinshi is a spectro character who excels at being a primary dps and deals high Resonance Skill damage. She is a fantastic primary dps for your team if you’ve gotten her, and she gets some fantastic buffs from Spectro-based echoes.
If you missed out on Yinlin, there are still some nice alternatives to consider. Mortefi also fits nicely in a team with Jinshi and her kit does have nice synergy with his. Mortefi will buff her heavy attacks and since her heavy attack isn’t a trigger for any bigger moves, you’ll end up using it a lot to extend combos and keep enemies airborne for as long as possible. The only downside with using Mortefi is that he has a longer Resonance Liberation cooldown than most characters, so when you do switch him in and out, sometimes he might not have his Resonance Liberation available for use. Regardless, he is still a solid character to pair Jinshi with.
Calcharo is a powerful and mysterious 5-star Natural Resonator mercenary, dealing powerful Electro damage to enemies. He's the definition of a high-risk, high-reward playstyle, matching his character well, as he can do massive amounts of damage in short periods - as long as players can time his combos well enough . He also pairs nicely with a range of characters, though he does best with a team that can support him as a main
The second option for the primary echo for Jinshi is quite possibly the better option of the two. This is the echo named Jué and when summoned it will traverse the air and will deal several variations of Spectro damage to nearby enemies. Upon summoning Jué, Jinshi will receive a 16% Resonance Skill damage boos t for 15 seconds . When the Resonance Skill hits an enemy, Jué will then inflict additional Spectro damage upon enemies.
Chixia is a 4-star Fusion Mutant Resonator and an especially friendly face the player meets at the very start of Wuthering Waves , and she provides some much-needed levity to an amnesiac Rover while navigating the beginning of the game. She automatically joins the party after the player reaches Jinzhou, making her a decent option for brand-new play
If you are seeking a support role for Yangyang, you will want to use the Originite: Type II 3-star weapon. Even though it isn’t a higher-rated weapon, this one will restore 10% health when the Resonance Liberation is used. This can be triggered 1 time every 20 seconds and, while it won’t be the hardest hitter in the options, it can at least provide some nice support on top of being easily obtained. Unfortunately, this is the only viable support weapon available for Yangyang's healing build but it still gets the job done if it is something you're looking to try out.
When considering weapons for Yangyang, you’ll want to know what sort of build you are going for. In a hybrid role for her, you’ll want to use the Emerald of Genesis 5-star weapon. Emerald of Genesis will increase Energy Regen by 12.8%, and her attack will be increased by 6% when the Resonance Skil is released. The attack buff can stack up to 2 times and last 10 seconds. This is a very solid choice for Yangyang and will perfectly suit a hybrid role for her.
For Jinshi’s primary echo, you’ll have a couple of choices to make. One is in the main area of Wuthering Waves and the other will be in the Mt. Firmament area that was added with Jinshi. Mourning Aix is on the main map for the game and will allow Jinshi to transform and perform some Spectro-based damage attacks. After the echo has been used, her Spectro damage will be increased by 12% and her Resonance Liberation damage will be increased by 12% as well for 15 seconds .
The best primary echo option here will be Impermanence Heron which does have the Moonlit Clouds Sonata Effect as well. When activated, Impermanence Heron allows Yangyang to transform into the echo, allowing her to fly during battle and unleash Havoc Damage with its breath attack. By long-pressing the echo attack, Yangyang remains transformed, dealing additional Havoc Damage. When the primary attack connects, Yangyang gains 10 Resonance Energy , and the next character entering the field receives a damage boost for 15 seconds .
Lingyang is a Wuthering Weathering Waves longgang build character with a unique playstyle inspired by the traditional Chinese Lion Dance. He's a 5-star Glacio Resonator and a beloved member of Jinzhou's Lion Dance Troupe with the ability to automatically dodge attacks while in the Striding Lion state.
