Lae'Zel : Best suited for the Battle Master subclass, Lae'Zel can almost singlehandedly handle your front line, drawing attention from enemies and able to withstand attacks better than some other classes.

Bardic Inspiration: As the Class’s most unique feature, Bardic Inspiration is a massive buff that Bards can give their allies, allowing them to add extra dice to any d20-based roll. This value increases as Bards level up.

Thanks to this proficiency, Bards won’t impose attack disadvantages or prevent spellcasting even when wearing Light Armor.

It's important to optimize a Sorcerer's spell list with each level up and cut some abilities to make room for new ones – putting one level into Wizard early gives you more options to choose from, though it becomes a bit useless at max level, when Sorcerers can no longer swap spells.

Level one Trickery Domain Clerics get "Charm Person" and "Disguise Self" as Domain Spells. The former allows them to gain advantage on skill checks in dialog or prevent a target from attacking in combat, while the latter allows them to change their appearance to fool NPCs and take advantage of special dialog options exclusive to a specific race. (A big example being interactions with Githyanki, who are notoriously difficult to interact with as any race other than Githyanki due to their severe superiority complex.)

This section will discuss some generally good equipment that works for any warlock subclass. An important item to mention is the Potent Robe , obtained in Act 2 by speaking with Alfina, but only if you aided the Tieflings during act 1. This robe adds your Charisma to the damage of all Cantrips and stacks with the effects of the Agonizing Blast invocation, allowing the Warlock to add double their Charisma to their Eldritch Blasts. Players focusing on spells should also grab the Daredevil Gloves at the Githyanki Creche during Act 1, allowing them to use all their ranged spells as melee attacks to avoid the penalty for using ranged attacks in melee. Players wanting to stack up their Charisma even higher should look into Duke Ravengard's Longsword , which also grants +2 Charisma and is an excellent weapon for Warlocks using Pact of the Blade.

Of the backgrounds Wizards can choose in BG3 , the Sage is the most obvious choice. It might seem like it's just a thematic fit, but there's a gameplay reason the Sage is the best background for Wizards. Choosing the Sage background grants proficiency in History and Arcana checks, two skills that are based on INT, which just makes Wizards that much more effective when making these rolls.

There are a total of three BG3 fan community subclasses Sorcerer players can try out, each of which focuses on different aspects of the class, and offers a selection of unique skills, proficiencies, and other features. As you level up in one of these BG3 Sorcerer subclasses, you will gain more abilities that are unique to your subclass choice.

The max level in Baldur's Gate 3 is Level 12, and most of the time, each level you gain will grant something new for your Wizard build. The Archfey Warlock makes their pact with a powerful Fey and draws on the capricious and whimsical powers of the Feywild. At level one, they gain the power "Fey Presence," which allows them to frighten or charm all creatures in a 3m range as an action, assuming they fail a Wisdom Saving Throw.

They also gain access to the additional Spell options "Burning Hands" and "Command (Halt)" at level 1, which are unavailable to other Warlocks. This allows them to start fires and freeze foes in their tracks. At level three, they gain access to "Scorching Ray" and "Blindness," too, providing them with further offensive and debuffing capabilities. At level five, they gain "Fireball" and "Stinking Cloud" spells, allowing them to create a debilitating cloud of gas and use one of D&D's most famous damaging spells.

Level six War Clerics gain "Channel Divinity: War God's Blessing," allowing them to grant +10 to the attack roll of a nearby ally by spending a Channel Divinity charge. Level seven gives them the Domain Spells "Stoneskin" and "Freedom of Movement," allowing them to give a creature resistance to (non-magical) piercing, bludgeoning, and slashing damage, and allowing them to grant immunity to movement penalties from all sources.

As a Level 11 Fighter, players can attack three times in a single turn, but by putting one point into barbarian, they can attack four times minimum every turn – as long as a bonus action isn't used for another ability.
