Paladins of the Oath of the Crown swear themselves to the ideals of Civilization, of Law and Order. Oath of the Crown Paladins will violate their oath if they break their word, take unlawful actions, or torture people. At first level, they get the Channel Oath ability "Righteous Clarity", which can be used to give a target a bonus to their attack rolls equal to the target's proficiency bonus. While this doesn't sound too crazy, it can be a very effective and efficient way of improving an ally's chance to hit.
The Ranger subclasses in Baldur's Gate 3 allow the Ranger to gain additional abilities inspired by the Ranger's core concept as a Scout that hunts dangerous foes and has a deep understanding of the natural world. The Beast Master subclass allows them to acquire an Animal Companion to aid them in battle, the Hunter chooses a specialization to aid them in taking down their chosen foes, and the Gloom Stalker learns to steel their mind against mind-altering effects and strike at their foes from the shadows. Rangers select their subclass at level Three.
The Beast Master subclass gains the ability "Summon Companion," allowing them to call forth a number of different animal companions to aid them in combat. These animal companions are considerably stronger than those summoned by the "Find Familiar" spell. All Companions have the "Prey's Scent" ability, which causes them to deal 1d6 extra damage to a creature marked by the Beast Master's "Hunter's Mark" spell.
At level six, Illusion Wizards can "See Invisibility" as an action. This allows them to see invisible foes and has a decent chance of revealing them to allies, too (unless they succeed the Dexterity Saving Throw). Level 10 Illusion Wizards get "Illusory Self," allowing them to create an Illusory Double as a reaction to take a hit for them. This causes the incoming attack to automatically miss, and the double is instantly destroyed. This can only be used once per short rest.
Armour of Landfall (13 AC + DEX, Light Armour, Very Rare): Dealing with either Rolan or Lorroakan can help players acquire this gear, which can be a useful endgame armor for avowed rpg its +1 Spell Save DC, Advantage on CON Saves, and free access to Plant Growth (3rd-Level, Short Rest) that can serve as a free +1d4 HP heal per turn. This gear can be of use to Bards who want to secure easier hits regardless of the weapon builds, with the free HP ensuring the party's healer has less to worry about.
This choice will dictate the kind of Spells and Feats more applicable to them, especially since the Bard’s roster of new options in this cap improves their overall supporting capacity. Reaching this point in their playthrough should have players consider the following combat options:
At level 11, all Draconic Bloodline Sorcerers gain "Fly." This allows them to fly around freely, extending the distance they can move each round, letting them fly up to high places, and allowing them to descend from high places without taking dam
Battle Masters might prefer a weapon with longer reach instead, such as the Dancing Breeze (Sold by Exxvikgap in the Rivington General.) This powerful glaive allows the wielder to perform a Whirlwind Attack, making an attack against all enemies within range. The Drakethroat Glaive also remains viable, as does the Moonlight Glaive and the Halberd of Vigilance. You could also consider Nyrulna, a legendary Trident that returns when thrown and causes thunder damage explosions when thrown too. It can also create cutting winds that blow back foes and create gusts of wind that also inflict thunder damage.
The Gloom Stalker's affinity for ambush makes them a natural fit for multiclassing with Rogues, allowing them to add Sneak Attack damage to their excellent damage output. Mixing in Fighter for Action Surge and a second Fighting Style can also be beneficial. While there's a certain amount of overlap in their kits, Shadow Monks can also be a good multiclass choice for the Gloom Stalker.
The Divination School is a tremendously powerful two-level dip for any build that has room for it, assuming the player is confident in their ability to use Portent Dice at the right moments. On the opposite side of things, a Divination Wizard with levels in Fighter for armor and Action Surge can also be tremendously effective.
