As you level up in one of these BG3 Fighter subclasses, you will gain more abilities that are unique to your subclass choice. Your choice of Fighter subclass can be changed by speaking with Withers, but you will start at Level 1 and have to make your BG3 Fighter build from scratch.

Updated on April 18th, 2024, by Thomas Hawkins: With the release of Patch 8 and the addition of Bladesinger to the Wizard Subclass list, new strategies and options have become available for this class. This update focuses on discussing the Bladesinging subclass and magic items that synergize well with its main playstyle.

The Sorcerer is one of the few Spellcasting-only classes, one that is nearly impossible to build into a melee fighter without multi-classing. Like the Wizard, Sorcerers can access a massive variety of useful spells that range from devastatingly damaging to enraging environmental effects.

The Beast Master subclass gains the ability "Summon Companion," allowing them to call forth a number of different animal companions to aid them in combat. These animal companions are considerably stronger than those summoned by the "Find Familiar" spell. All Companions have the "Prey's Scent" ability, which causes them to deal 1d6 extra damage to a creature marked by the Beast Master's "Hunter's Mark" spell.

There are a total of three BG3 subclasses Sorcerer players can try out, each of which focuses on different aspects of the class, and offers a selection of unique skills, proficiencies, and other features. As you level up in one of these BG3 Sorcerer subclasses, you will gain more abilities that are unique to your subclass choice.

They can further supplement this Gish playstyle using items like the Diadem of Arcane Synergy (generating more Arcane Synergy Stats by applying conditions) in conjunction with Phalar Aluve's Shriek ability. Add the Winter's Grasp Gloves or any other item that lets your spells apply a condition for even better results. A surprisingly powerful addition to a Bladesinging Wizard loadout would be the Bonespike Boots, which boost AC and grant access to Brutal Leap, a special ability that knocks enemies over and uses the wearer's spellcasting stat to determine the save DC.

Unlike Dragonborn, Sorcerers under the Draconic Bloodline don't get a Breath-type spell based on the color chosen. Instead, Draconic Sorcerers get a spell related to their color – in the case of this best bladesinger Build bg3 Sorcerer build, players can expect to cast a cone of fire or a puddle of Grease. Those are far from the only great spells Sorcerers have in BG3 , though.

The Sorcerer is one of the most volatile Classes in all of Baldur's Gate 3 thanks to their wild spells and ability to use Metamagic to enhance their spellcasting skills. Sorcerers are at their best when they put all of their effort into maximizing their damage output, which the Draconic Bloodline subclass offers in spades.

Summon Companion and Find Familiar can be used together, allowing Beast Masters to have two animals aiding them at once (though Familiars are substantially weaker in combat and are better suited to exploration.)

If picking up The Watersparkers , players should also pick up The Sparkswall Ring from the Arcane Tower in the Underdark. Also in the Underdark is The Blast Pendant , found on a Petrified Drow near the Selunite Outpost. This Pendant allows the wearer to use up all lightning charges they currently have to grant their next attack bonus lightning damage. This damage is equal to the number of lightning charges.

Level seven Trickery Domain Clerics get the Domain Spells "Polymorph" and "Dimension Door." This allows them to transfigure foes into harmless sheep and teleport while bringing an ally with them. Level eight grants "Divine Strike: Poison," allowing them to spend an action to imbue their weapon with additional poison damage and strike a target.

Players can pick up The Blood of Lathander at the Githyanki Creche during Act 1 too, which is a powerful mace that seems tailor-made for a Light Cleric. This legendary +3 Mace sheds constant light, blinds fiends and undead, and allows its wielder to cast Sunbeam once per long rest. It also provides emergency healing to prevent the Cleric from falling unconscious once per long rest.

Draconic Bloodline Sorcerers are able to not only more easily control The Weave than Wild Magic users, but they also have better survivability than the Storm Sorcery subclass thanks to the extra HP and Draconic Resilience passive, which boosts Armor when not wearing any (aside from robes).

The Conjuration School is arguably better as a multiclassing dip than it is as a standalone class, with Tempest Clerics and Storm Sorcerers both getting a lot of utility out of the ability to create water without spending a spell slot. This is especially true when making use of lightning charge equipment, with The Watersparkers performing exceptionally here. Players should grab The Sparkswall ring too so that the electrified puddles they create can't cause damage to them.
