Sorcerers can choose two skills from a list of six, but depending on the background you choose, one will not be an option (as it will already be taken). This can be useful since magical darkness can't be penetrated by non-magical means, and the radiant damage is also very nice.

The Cleric multiclass option for Fighters is good for similar reasons as the Barbarian multiclass. Fighters unlock their third attack at Level 11, leaving just one level to put into another class. The Cleric, specifically the War Domain subclass, is an excellent choice because it unlocks a fourth attack, and grants access to some basic Cleric support spells.
At level ten, Goolocks will get "Thought Shield: Psychic Resistance" and "Thought Shield: Psychic Reflection," granting them resistance to psychic damage and automatically dealing psychic damage equal to any psychic damage they do take to their attacker.
