The Githyanki give Warlocks an improved Mage Hand from level 1, the ability to improve party member's Jump distance at Level 3, and the Misty Step skill at Level 5 – three extremely useful abilities. Githyanki also give Warlocks armor proficiencies the class wouldn't normally have access to, namely light and medium armor, to further improve their defensive capabilities.

Elixirs of Battlemage's Power can be purchased from any merchant that sells elixirs or potions, once the player character is at least level 6, and will grant three turns of Arcane Acuity when used. This elixir also prevents Arcane Acuity from ever dropping below three turns and lasts until the party takes a long rest, making it a great addition to any character using Arcane Acuity.

If picking up The Watersparkers , players should also pick up The Sparkswall Ring from the Arcane Tower in the Underdark. Also in the Underdark is The Blast Pendant , found on a Petrified Drow near the Selunite Outpost. This Pendant allows the wearer to use up all lightning charges they currently have to grant their next attack bonus lightning damage. This damage is equal to the number of lightning charges.

In terms of equipment, Trickery Clerics can get some very useful gear from the Gauntlet of Shar in Act 2. The Dark Justiciar set can be found throughout the Gauntlet and offers powerful bonuses relating to stealth and mobility. Players can acquire the Dark Justiciar Helmet in a Gilded Chest found at X: -822, Y: -753. This helmet boosts saving throws against spells, reduces the number needed to score a critical hit by 1 while the wearer is obscured, and grants a +1 to constitution saving throws.

The Gloves of Belligerent Skies make an excellent addition for players using lightning, thunder, or radiant damage, applying the reverberation condition and potentially knocking enemies prone. Players should also track down the legendary staff "Markoheshkir" during Act 3 to gain access to "Kereska's Favour", which allows players to choose between six different damage types and gain access to additional spells that deal that damage type. The staff also causes all spell damage to apply a condition associated with that damage type (for example, choosing cold causes all spell damage to inflict frost).

Taking a level of Wizard will allow players to learn any Wizard spell that they find a scroll for and cast them using their higher-level spell slots from Druid, though they will still use the character's intelligence score when determining attack rolls and saving throws. A level or two of Tempest Domain Cleric can also be very effective, especially if players are using a lot of Lightning Damage Synergy damage and/or wish to equip heavy armor or a wider range of weapons.

Although Ring Mail is considered as one of the first types of Heavy Armour a character can encounter in Baldur’s Gate 3 , taking this a step further via Ring Mail Armour +1 can give its wielder a fighting edge in situations where higher-AC gear can seem too expensive to come by. Thankfully, Ring Mail Armour +1 is often sold by vendors as soon as players reach Levels 2 to 4, making this one of the most accessible Heavy Armour for heavy-hitters who need adequate defen

Naturally, as a spellcasting-focused Druid subclass, the Circle of Stars Druid will also benefit greatly from most of the equipment we recommended for the Circle of the Land Druid. Spell Save DC-boosting items like Melf's First Staff, the Cloak of the Weave, and Markoheshkir can be incredibly useful to the Circle of the Stars Druid, making it harder for enemies to resist their spells.

If you are dead set on including a character in your party, simply talk to Withers to respec them to one of the optimal Warlock companion classes listed above. This way, you won't miss out on that character's questline, and you won't have to suffer from an improperly balanced party.

The Warlock, being a Charisma-based caster , tends to do very well when it comes to rolling dice in conversations and crowd controlling enemies. Though speccing into Bard doesn't necessarily improve the Warlock's damage output, by putting just one point into this class, a Warlock can provide even more utility to the party through the Song of Rest and Bardic Inspiration abilities.

The Circle of the Moon Druid also gains access to more powerful Wildshape forms faster than other subclasses, gaining the Deep Rothe form at level 3 rather than level 4, for example. They also gain some Wildshape forms that the other subclasses do not have access to, like the Dire Raven (level 3).

At level one, a Life Domain Cleric gains "Cure Wounds" and "Bless" as Domain spells, which are automatically and always prepared when resting. They also get proficiency with Heavy Armor to strengthen their defenses.

Generally speaking, though, the Circle of the Moon subclass does not lend itself well to multiclassing. Since most equipment doesn't function while in Wildshape, it's generally a good idea to wear equipment that benefits spellcasting instead. This means that the Druid can take advantage of being a full caster class whenever they aren't using Wildshape. There are also a couple of items that either benefit Wildshape directly or retain their functionality while in Wildshape.
