The weapons that reduce the target number of critical hits are the Knife of the Undermountain King (Act 1, sold in the Githyanki Creche), The Dead Shot (Act 3), and Bloodthirst (Act 3). Players can also use the Covert Cowl (Act 2, Under the Last Light Inn, held by a monster) to reduce the target number by 1 when obscured, later replacing it with Sarevok's Horned Helm during Act 3 since that doesn't require the wearer to be obscured. The Shade-Slayer Cloak in Act 3 does the same, but only while obscured. Combining these items can be incredible for dealing huge amounts of damage.
Wizards who choose the School of Abjuration get "Abjuration Savant" and "Arcane Ward" at second level. The former allows them to scribe Abjuration Spells into their spellbook for 25gp per spell level instead of 50gp per spell level, while the latter gives the Wizard a shield whenever they cast an abjuration spell of level 1 or higher. The Ward gains charges equal to half the spell's level, rounded up, and can hold charges equal to twice the Wizard's level. At level 3, this means the Wizard can have six charges at once. When the Wizard takes damage with a Ward active, the damage is reduced by the number of charges, and then the Ward loses one charge. The ward resets to a number of charges equal to the Wizard's level on each long rest.
In terms of equipment, Bladesinging Wizards will benefit greatly from items like the Ring of Arcane Synergy, the Ring of Elemental Infusion, and the Necklace of Elemental Augmentation. Arcane Synergy stacks will empower their melee attacks after they use spells, while the elemental damage they deal with spells will buff their weapon, and adding their Intelligence modifier to elemental spell damage is tremendously useful. The Vivacious Cloak or Cloak of Displacement both serve as excellent defensive options, further reinforcing the Wizard's defenses. The Gloves of Battlemage's Power are also an excellent option for building up stacks of Arcane Synergy via spells like Booming Blade, or attacks made with the Shadow Blade (created by the spell of the same name).
Duellist's Prerogative (1d8+8 Piercing +2 Piercing +1d4 Necrotic, Rapier, Very Rare): This Longsword is perhaps one of the best weapons for a Bard specifically for its damage output potential. Its Elegant Duellist effect now allows Crits at 19 on top of a bonus Reaction, which can be used in tandem with its Withering Cut to inflict (Proficiency Bonus) Necrotic Damage on a melee weapon attack. Using this with a College of Swords Dual Wielder Bard can catapult the character into main DPS territory.

Bladesong Healing Charges are generated when making weapon attacks, while Bladesong Damage Charges are generated whenever the Wizard casts a spell. By using Bladesong: Climax, the Wizard can spend a bonus action and some movement to leap to a location and cause a burst of damage and healing in a 3m/10ft radius. The damage and healing are determined by the number of charges accumulated, with the damage dealt to all dice skins Bg3 enemies in the radius and the healing applied to all allies in the radius.
It might not seem like a natural fit, but dipping two levels into the Fighter class as a Cleric grants an incredibly powerful ability: Action Surge. One of the iconic abilities of the Fighter class, Action Surge is a Bonus Action that grants the caster another Action that turn.
The Folk Hero background can be useful for Clerics because it gives proficiencies to the Animal Handling and Survival skills, both of which rely on the Cleric's main stat Wisdom. Animal Handling and Survival are both skills that the Cleric typically doesn't have access to at character creation for its starting proficiencies, too, and can be useful additions to the class.
At level seven, the Champion gains "Remarkable Athlete: Proficiency" and "Remarkable Athlete: Jump." The former allows them to add half their proficiency bonus to any skill check that uses Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution that they are not already proficient with. The latter increases their jump distance by 3m.
For Rogues, this means sacrificing some Sneak Attack damage for the ability to perform another Sneak Attack in the same turn. Getting to Rogue 10 keeps Sneak Attack's bonus damage at a nice 5d6, and getting two of them off in one turn means a total of 10d6 damage on top of regular weapon damage – plus, the ability to wear heavier armor is a nice bonus, too.
