Once you’ve gotten Chixia built up and ready to fight, go ahead and take a look at her skill tree and try to get some of those upgraded. While small at first, they will add up over time and provide some good bonuses to her build. Always keep in mind as well that almost every team is viable within Wuthering Waves and there are only a few characters that need to meet specific conditions to be worthwhile in a team. Chixia is a solid damage dealer for everyone and one of the first free characters that players receive. Whether you are using her due to not getting your favored 5-star character, or if you are waiting for the next character banner, she is a nice option and allows a fun over-the-top playstyle for everyone to utilize.
The next option will be for her support-focused role, and you’ll want to snag 5 echoes with the Rejuvenating Glow Sonata Effect. With the full 5 echoes, Yangyang will increase healing by 10% and when healing allies, the entire team will gain a 15% attack buff for 30 seconds . When using this particular setup, you will need the Originite: Type II weapon for these buffs to trigger and be usable while on the field.
Now, when you are going to start building Yangyang’s echoes out, you’ll want one of the two options that will best fit each option you have for her. The first option is going to be for her hybrid build. For this build you will want to stick with echoes that have the Moonlit Clouds Sonata Effect. With a full setup with these echoes, you’ll gain 10% more Energy Regen and the next character brought into the field will have their attack increased by 22.5% for 15 seconds once Yangyang’s Outro Skill has been used. This Sonata Effect is going to be the best option for a hybrid build due to how great it is for the entire team in general.
If you are still working on getting ahold of the 5-star weapon, you can also go with the Amity Accord 4-star gauntlets. These gauntlets will give a 20% Resonance Liberation damage bonus for 15 seconds when Yuanwu’s Intro Skill is used. These gauntlets also provide a really nice damage bonus due to scaling with a character’s defense. Even though they are relatively basic, Yuanwu’s naturally high defense will benefit greatly from these gauntlets, enabling him to hit harder than normal. While only a 4-star option, this is probably one of the best weapons you could use for Yuanwu and might even be a better choice over the 5-star option.

If you missed out on Yinlin, there are still some nice alternatives to consider. Mortefi also fits nicely in a team with Jinshi and her kit does have nice synergy with his. Mortefi will buff her heavy attacks and since her heavy attack isn’t a trigger for any bigger moves, you’ll end up using it a lot to extend combos and keep enemies airborne for as long as possible. The only downside with using Mortefi is that he has a longer Resonance Liberation cooldown than most characters, so when you do switch him in and out, sometimes he might not have his Resonance Liberation available for use. Regardless, he is still a solid character to pair Jinshi with.
There are a few really nice weapon options for Yuanwu, the first of which will be a relatively easy 5-star weapon to obtain. The Abyss Surges 5-star is a solid choice for you to get into Yuanwu’s hands. These gauntlets will increase Energy Regen by 12.8% and when Yuanwu hits an enemy with his Resonance Skill, his Basic Attack will increase by 10% . This effect will last for 8 seconds and when hitting enemies with his Basic Attack, his Resonance Skill gains a 10% bonus that will also last for 8 seconds . This is a solid option to make sure that Yuanwu gets some good Energy Regen while also receiving overall good damage buffs on top of it all.
Verina or Baizhi will be your best options for healing. Since Wuthering Waves launched, they’ve been the two standout healers and are relatively close in how their kits operate. Verina is a 5-star that buffs the entire team, while Baizhi is a 4-star character only capable of buffing the next character swapped in. Neither will hit quite as hard as any dps, but it is still very nice if either one of them is on the team to heal up any damage that comes your way. Both healers have insanely quick rotations and will allow you to bring Jinshi back onto the field as fast as possible for more damage.
When considering weapons for Yangyang, you’ll want to know what sort of build you are going for. In a hybrid role for her, you’ll want to use the Emerald of Genesis 5-star weapon. Emerald of Genesis will increase Energy Regen by 12.8%, Galbrena prefarm and her attack will be increased by 6% when the Resonance Skil is released. The attack buff can stack up to 2 times and last 10 seconds. This is a very solid choice for Yangyang and will perfectly suit a hybrid role for her.
