With the Druid's intrinsic Wild Shape ability, a Druid 9 Ranger 3 build will be able to summon a Bear companion, then shapeshift into a Bear themselves. It's always good to have more companions on the battlefield, so enemies have more targets to choose from. Having two bears in the party, alongside proper Support companions, makes for a fun and fearsome melee frontline.
Since the Eldritch Knight subclass is particularly tanky, this is a good time to pick up a new shield for the endgame. Take on Viconia DeVir as part of the "Daughter of Darkness" quest to pick up Viconia's Walking Fortress. This legendary shield grants advantage on saving throws against spells, imposes disadvantage on spell attack rolls against you, and provides access to two useful spells. Warding Bond once per long rest can be handy, but the true power of this shield lies in its exclusive spell: Reflective Shell. Once per short rest, this can be cast as a bonus action to send all incoming projectiles back to sender for the next two turns, rendering ranged attacks against the wielder both pointless and dangerous to the attacker. Nylruna, the trident mentioned in the Battle Master section, is also a fantastic weapon choice for an Eldritch Knight that helps them control the battlefield.
Eldritch Blast is the Warlock's bread and butter , and Agonizing Blast outright increases the damage of Eldritch Blast by the Warlock's Charisma modifier. This affects each hit, so at later levels when Warlocks get two or three Eldritch Blast beams with each cast, it becomes a seriously powerful spell.
Wild Magic Barbarians channel Wild Magic when they enter a rage, causing a Wild Magic surge similar to the one some Sorcerers can cause when casting spells. They also get the ability "Magic Awareness," which lets them use a bonus action to allow themselves and allies within 3m to add their proficiency bonus to saving throws against spells.
After landing an attack, the Swarmkeeper may choose to activate one of the abilities listed in the table above, based on their Swarm, or teleport up to 5m/17ft away. None of these effects spend an action, bonus action, or reaction. Third level Swarmkeepers also gain the Mage Hand and Faerie Fire spells, which are always prepared.
The Folk Hero background grants proficiency in Animal Handling and Survival, and will trigger Inspiration for your character naturally as a Druid. Being a Folk hero provides the most RP opportunities and Inspiration possibilities as a Circle of the Moon druid because it just requires players to do things most good-aligned Druids would do, like help animals, save others, and explore the wilderness.
In Baldur's Gate 3 , Druid builds can be enhanced further with the use of specific consumables. Certain potions, like the Elixir of Heroism, will grant combat-oriented bonuses for this best Druid build, while others, like the Elixir of Barkskin, will enhance the Druid's defenses, which tend to be low thanks to low-AC equipment that the class can use.
Naturally, the Giant Barbarian Subclass Build can make great use of the two equipment sets that were clearly designed with Barbarians in mind, the Wrath Set and the Bonespike Set. Picking up the Enraging Heart Garb at Moonrise, for example, is a great way to get extra Constitution and (If the bug with Ruintamer Heart gets fixed) get the Wrath buff by raging.
This can make them a valuable addition to caster-heavy teams. At level 10, a Wild Magic Barbarian gets the ability "Unstable Backlash." This allows them to create a new Wild Magic surge (replacing the old one) whenever they take damage or fail a saving throw while raging. This helps to increase the chaos they cause in battle.
At fifth level, Swarmkeeper Rangers gain the Web spell, which is always prepared. At seventh level, the Swarmkeeper gains three charges of Writhing Currents per long rest, which can be spent along with a bonus action to fly 9m/30ft and gain immunity to surface effects. They gain an extra Writhing Currents charge at ninth level, along with the Gaseous Form spell, which is always prepared.
If you are dead set on including a character in your party, simply talk to Withers to respec them to one of the optimal Warlock companion classes listed above. This way, you won't miss out on that character's questline, and you won't have to suffer from an improperly balanced party.

This new subclass makes use of their Wildshape Charges to embody constellations and gain powerful new abilities, including firing blasts of light, healing a target for free after casting a spell, and unleashing a radiant breath attack. This guide has been updated to include information on this new subclass and discuss equipment and multiclassing options that benefit the Circle of the Stars.
At level nine, the Circle of Stars Druid receives an additional Star Map and Cosmic Omen per long rest, giving them four of each. Finally, at level ten, the Circle of Stars Druid gains Twinkling Constellations, empowering each of their Starry Forms and allowing them to switch form as a free action once per turn. Archer's Luminous Arrow now deals 2d8 Radiant Damage, Chalice now Heals 2d8 hit points, and Dragon can now fly 6m/20ft per turn.
