No matter which way one takes a Sorcerer, though, they all have the ability to use Metamagic , and Sorcery Points, to influence their spells. Metamagic can twin spells, make them more likely to hit, change their range, and even allow Sorcerers to cast spells while Silenced.
When it comes to multiclassing, the Evocation School benefits greatly from Sorcerer levels to gain access to Metamagic. Quickened Spells and Twin Spells can do wonders for damage output, while Silent Spell can allow spellcasting even when silenced. Distant Spell can also be helpful for striking enemies from well out of their range. As with many Wizard Subclasses, access to armor from Cleric or Fighter levels can also be very useful, with the former also offering access to a wider range of spells while the latter's Action Surge can help the Wizard unleash more spells in a turn.
As a Rogue multiclassing options can be hard to nail down, because the class is so focused on stealth throughout all three of its subclasses. One powerful pairing for the Thief rogue in particular is the Gloomstalker Ranger, which requires players to put three points into the Ranger class to unlock.
At level ten, Divination Wizards gain "Third Eye: Darkvision" and "Third Eye: See Invisibility." The best background for Rogues in BG3 in general is the Urchin background. It grants proficiency in Sleight of Hand and Stealth, two skills which Rogues regularly use, human vs ai storytelling and will trigger moments of Inspiration when doing typical Rogue shenanigans, like unlocking heavily locked treasures, sneaking into areas, and performing stealthy maneuvers in and out of combat.
