Outside of this, players could also use Eldritch Knight as their subclass when planning to multiclass heavily into other spellcasting classes, taking spells that are defensive in nature or otherwise require no attack roll or saving throw to be effective. This allows players to remain at low intelligence and still benefit from the Eldritch Knight spells they choose, freeing up those points to spend on stats that benefit their chosen spellcasting class.

By pairing Arcane Archer with the game's existing assortment of specialty arrows, this subclass can be incredibly versatile. The Battle Master Fighter build is named after the Subclass that players select at Level 3, which grants a powerful new set of skills to the Fighter that rely on a new resource: Superiority Die, used to fuel Battle Maneuvers. At Level 3, Fighters can unlock three Battle Maneuvers from a list of six, most of which have both a ranged and melee version that unlock together.

There are a total of three BG3 subclasses Rogue players can try out, each of which focuses on different aspects of the class, and offers a selection of unique skills, proficiencies, and other features. As you level up in one of these BG3 Rogue subclasses, you will gain more abilities that are unique to your subclass choice.

As a Rogue multiclassing options can be hard to nail down, because the class is so focused on stealth throughout all three of its subclasses. One powerful pairing for the Thief rogue in particular is the Gloomstalker Ranger, which requires players to put three points into the Ranger class to unlock.

Players can also grab the staff " Creation's Echo " from Omeluum at the Myconoid Colony in Act 1, after completing their quest, which grants resistance to the last type of damage the Wizard dealt for two turns (As long as the damage type was Acid, Fire, Lightning, Radiant, or Necrotic.) The Icebite Robe (found in a Sarcophagus in Act 2) provides a free level 3 cast of Armor of Agathys and also provides resistance to Cold damage. Worth considering for players who want access to temporary hit points with some extra bite.

Allocating two levels into the Fighter class as any other class grants access to one of the game's most powerful class abilities: Action Surge. One of the iconic skills of the Fighter class, Action Surge is a Bonus Action that grants the caster another Action that turn.

No matter what, be sure to get the Stealth, Persuasion, Perception, and Deception proficiency. These checks naturally fall into Rogue playstyles, especially Stealth. If your Background covers any of these options, think about picking up Insight or Investigation, which can be useful for lots of dialogue checks.

To create the best BG3 Cleric build, we recommend putting the majority of points into your Wisdom, followed by Constitution and Dexterity. The primary stat for most Life Domain Cleric spells and abilities in BG3 is Wisdom, but Constitution and Dexterity should follow closely behind for survivability and secondary combat bonuses.

As mentioned in the previous section, Act 3 offers some tremendously powerful Critical Hit items. You can get Bloodthirst by defeating Orin, purchase the Dead Shot from Fytz at the Stormshore Armoury, and snag Sarevok's Horned Helm by defeating Sarevok at the Murder Tribunal. You can also equip yourself with some of the armor mentioned in the sections for the other Subclasses, as they remain excellent options for improving your survivability. Alternatively, players multiclassing with Rogue should consider picking up the Bhaalist Armour by becoming an Unholy Assassin at the Murder Tribunal.
