Pal Fusions are a special type of Pal in palworld fishing guide that are exceptionally rare, powerful variants of regular Pals in the game. Players can find these Pals in the wild or dungeons and catch them in the same manner as other Pals. Fusion Pals are unique in that they can only be bred at a Breeding Farm by placing the base version of a Pal and a specific Pal (along with some cake). The little Pal might be frightened, or lost and alone, captured by this giant bird, only to find it being cared for, possibly even loved.

Part of what makes this Pal so unsettling is how little is explained about it. The cryptic Paldeck entry for Astegon gives exceptionally little information, just that it was born out of the abyss. What is the abyss? What eldritch hole did this monster pawn from?

As if that wasn’t enough, if you’re a good person who accidentally gets murdered by a Helzepher, too bad, now you’re going to hell too. Sorry about all those virtues. Sure, it could be a bit of hyperbole from the creator of the Paldeck, or at the least the intern who has to write all the snappy Pal descriptions in the Palworld universe, but if it isn’t, and somehow researchers have tapped into the worlds after this one, Helzephyr is a terrifying realization into what awaits people after death.

What sets Hangyu apart is that this unusually shaped Pal is that for some reason, it was used as a form of capital punishment in what seems like a time in the not so far past. These Pals would rip the very flesh from the condemned criminal, likely causing them to bleed out from their wounds.

Once it has no more eggs to fire off, it will explode itself, likely killing itself as opposed to being taken by some predator. Does it know when it runs out of eggs it’ll explode itself? Is the Tocotoco aware that the last egg means certain death, and it chooses to go out on its own terms? We’ll never know.

Not every Pal has a creepy or disturbing entry in the Paldeck, but for those who do, they can be wildly harrowing, taking the mostly cute and cuddly creatures of Palworld and casting a much darker shadow over their existence. There are plenty of other unsettling Pals out in Palworld, but for some reason, the Tocotoco resonates as being quite disturbing without being overtly so. A Pal that creates and then fires eggs that explode is a little par for the course in his world, but once it runs out of those eggs, it has one final last resort.

While the brazen bull might not have actually been used in the human world, the Menasting certainly is out and about torturing its victims in Palworld. So well known is this Pal’s way of eating that the Paldeck even mentions how you can hear its victims screaming as they are consumed inside.

The Cinnamoth’s Paldeck entry isn’t creepy because of anything the Cinnamoth did on its own , but instead because of what humans have done to it. Sniffing a Cinnamoth will cause ‘unparalleled euphoria’ when inhaled, much like a highly potent drug, and if there are little side effects to the act, it could lead to mass poaching of the sweet little moth.

Water Element Pals have an Offensive advantage over Fire Type Pals dealing 2x damage to them, but their damage will be halved when fighting against Electric Type Pals. Defensively, they are resistance to Fire types, but will receive 2x damage from Electric Type Pals.

Within the Palworld universe, there are some pretty darn unsettling Pals you can encounter. Some are incredibly volatile, others are unsettlingly creepy, while even more fall to some incredibly unfortunate ends in the surprisingly violent world of Palapagos Island.
