If you were to encounter a Maraith in the real world, it might seem almost cute. It’s not the worst looking Pal out there, and its wispy wings and black furry mane looks almost cuddly. But if this Pal is hanging out with you, there’s probably something terribly wrong.

There are many Pals in Palworld that have the Handiwork Work Suitability. Unlike the Cooling ability , handiwork is not tied to a specific type of pal - any type has the potential to have handiwork. Each pal with handiwork can have a level between 1 and 4 for their Handiwork ability. The higher the number, the faster they will be at completing the task. Once it has no more eggs to fire off, it will explode itself, likely killing itself as opposed to being taken by some predator. Does it know when it runs out of eggs it’ll explode itself? Is the Tocotoco aware that the last egg means certain death, and it chooses to go out on its own terms? We’ll never know.

Quivern is quite likely one of the best-designed Pals in the game, which is great, as the game's been riddled with controversy due to its creature designs. On top of being absolutely gorgeous though, Quivern is a menace in battle as well. To begin with, it's the first flying Pal on this list, meaning it can be ridden to battle through the skies.

Jetragon can be ridden as a flying mount, and it's by far the fastest one you can get. Its Partner Skill Aerial Missile makes Jetragon Rapidly fire a missile launcher. The result is a very speedy mount that can rain destruction from high over your enemies. Jetragon is the best Dragon Pal you can get, due to how versatile, helpful, and destructive it is all at the same time.

Part of what makes this Pal so unsettling is how little is explained about it. The cryptic Paldeck entry for Astegon gives exceptionally little information, just that it was born out of the abyss. What is the abyss? What eldritch hole did this monster pawn from?

Azurobe is a Dragon/Water Pal to start our list. Beautiful and graceful, Azurobe leaves a bit to be desired. While Azurobe is good enough to be considered a top-tier Pal, it's unlucky in that it completely gets outclassed by other Dragon/Water Pals on this list. Azurobe would have been great if not for the power of its competition.

As if that wasn’t enough, if you’re a good person who accidentally gets murdered by a Helzepher, too bad, click here now you’re going to hell too. Sorry about all those virtues. Sure, it could be a bit of hyperbole from the creator of the Paldeck, or at the least the intern who has to write all the snappy Pal descriptions in the Palworld universe, but if it isn’t, and somehow researchers have tapped into the worlds after this one, Helzephyr is a terrifying realization into what awaits people after death.

While the brazen bull might not have actually been used in the human world, the Menasting certainly is out and about torturing its victims in Palworld. So well known is this Pal’s way of eating that the Paldeck even mentions how you can hear its victims screaming as they are consumed inside.

Jormuntide Ignis has all the benefits of regular Jormuntide, retaining its stats, Electric coverage, and Dragon Skills. However, it swaps out Jormuntides Partner Skill for an offensive one, boosting Fire attacks while mounted. Fire even beats Dragon's weakness in Ice, so you can only counter it with Water attacks. This thing just keeps getting better the longer you look at it.
