One of the most interesting worlds to be found by Minecraft@Home is one many players may not know even exists. One of Minecraft 's iconic craftable paintings features a flaming skull with a moon and mountain in the background. As it turns out, artist Kristoffer Zetterstrand used an actual Minecraft world as a reference for the painting's original artwork. Zetterstrand shared screenshots of the seed he used with Minecraft@Home, and the group was able to find the seed on September 10, 2020. In Minecraft version 1.1.2_01, there are two identical seeds where the mountain can be found, -1044887956651363087 and -6984854390176336655, and its coordinates are X=-249.65, Y=91, Z=-29

Notch stated that he never wanted to make a huge game or change the world, and he only had fun when he was doing small projects. He even went so far as to say "If I ever accidentally make something that seems to gain traction, I'll probably abandon it immediate

Minecraft@Home has found the seeds of every main menu background panorama from Minecraft versions 1.13 to 1.16. These seeds may not be the most exciting discoveries, considering their lack of history and short lifespan, but it's still neat that players can explore them if they wish. Each background is themed and shows off the biggest additions of that update, set in a distinct biome. Update Aquatic’s background was of a sunken pirate ship, Village & Pillage’s was of an overhauled village, Buzzy Bees’ was of a bee and a beehive, and the Nether Update’s background was of the New mobs minecraft 2025 Nether biomes . The seeds for all four of these worlds were found in just a month of searching, making them some of Minecraft@Home's quickest discoveries yet. They can be found via the following instructi
Minecraft OneBlock is a custom map by IJAMinecraft in which players spawn on a single block above the void, with only one means of progression: mining that single block. The catch is that this single block will respawn infinitely, and players can continue to mine whatever it turns into in order to gain materials. OneBlock is similar to Skyblock, except players are at the mercy of whatever the block decides to give them. There aren't any servers that offer OneBlock modes, so players will have to download the custom map for the Java edition. As players continue to mine the block, the materials it provides become better, and the difficulty increases, as well. The block can spawn both passive and aggressive mobs, and players can use the materials they collect to expand their island, make farms, and turn the single block into a home. There are 10 different phases of the block, which players can progress through by mining a certain number of blocks each phase. The final phase spawns an End Portal on the players island, letting them fight the Ender Dragon with the materials they have gathered from the bl

Hardcore Minecraft is the most common way to spice up a Survival playthrough, mainly because of its easy accessibility to Java players. Hardcore is one of the difficulty settings built into the Java version of Minecraft , meaning players don't have to download any mods or world maps to hop into a Hardcore world. It's identical to a normal Minecraft Survival Mode playthrough, with one exception: Players only have one life. In normal Minecraft , players can die and respawn an infinite number of times, but in Hardcore Minecraft , when a player dies, so does their world. This makes every decision players make feel more impactful, and players have to be more careful than ever before. Many players challenge themselves to see how long they can survive in a Hardcore Minecraft world, with some players spending several real-world years in a single Minecraft world without dy
