Jormuntide is the definition of a creature, perfectly crafted for battle. It's got the highest Melee Attack stat in the game bar-none, has an amazing element of Dragon/Water, and even has access to an Electric Skill for coverage.
Orserk is quite likely the best Electric Pal you can get your hands on in the whole game. This thing has an amazing element combination in Dragon/Electric and has incredible ranged damage potential. There is a lot to be concerned about when it comes to Helzepher. The huge birdlike creature can summon lightning, which is horrifying enough. But the Paldeck confirms that this lighting comes from hell, the actual underworld, where evil souls go when their mortal coil fails them. Fire and brimstone, the devil, all seven layers of hell.
What sets Hangyu apart is that this unusually shaped Pal is that for some reason, it was used as a form of capital punishment in what seems like a time in the not so far past. These Pals would rip the very flesh from the condemned criminal, likely causing them to bleed out from their wounds.
Another Pal that isn’t so overtly creepy, but gets worse and worse the more you think about it. The Nitewing will hunt or find a baby Pal and bring them back to its nest . The little Pal might be frightened, or lost and alone, captured by this giant bird, only to find it being cared for, possibly even loved.
When researchers shaved this icy creature of its fur, there was nothing beneath it, just a lump of hair. Which, of course, makes no sense, since there are clearly ears, eyes, and a mouth to hold the little leaf it is chewing on.
Still, Azurobe is a great addition during the early and mid-game, especially if you haven't had a chance to capture a better Pal to fill its slot. Quivern is quite likely one of the best-designed Pals in the game, which is great, as the game's been riddled with controversy due to its creature designs. On top of being absolutely gorgeous though, Quivern is a menace in battle as well. To begin with, it's the first flying Pal on this list, meaning it can be ridden to battle through the skies.
Orserk's Partner Skill, Ferocious Thunder Dragon sounds cool but is very rarely useful. Despite that though, this majestic beast manages to be amazing purely due to its damage output. So much so that there are only a couple of Dragon Pals better than it. Speaking of...
Even its Partner Skill is amazing, allowing you to move over water riding on it without depleting stamina. Its Water element is also useful, as it counters the ever-so-powerful Fire Element. Jormuntide is as close to a perfect Pal as you can get in terms of combat.
Once it has no more eggs to fire off, it will explode itself, likely killing itself as opposed to being taken by some predator. Does it know when it runs out of eggs it’ll explode itself? Is the Tocotoco aware that the last egg means certain death, and it chooses to go out on its own terms? We’ll never know.
