However, in a game where death can come at a moment's notice, some players would love the idea of using items that can save them from a tough spot, especially if they are aware of exactly what said thing does in the game. In this regard, Detailed Item Descriptions will prove to be a great help, even if some people feel like it goes against the spirit of what FromSoftware's titles are all ab
In a game as massive as Elden Ring, it's easy to miss a few bosses. Since many of them have valuable unique drops, it's worth it to go out there and get them felled before moving onto new game plus. High-priority targets should include Erdtree Avatars, Deathbirds, Night's Cavalry and the Bell Bearing Hunters. Dragons, evergaol dwellers and NPC Invaders are all important too of course, but those are all best covered in another guide. Out of of those though, Black Knife Tiche and the Mimic Tear should be the top priorities.
Night's Cavalry appear depending on the time of day too, but they're always seen at night. All of them either drop their signature armor/weapons or valuable Ashes of War like the Bloodhounds Step. The final two Night's Cavalry encountered in Consecrated Snowfield even leave an extra Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone for players who manage to defeat them. The ten Night's Cavalry can be found in the following spots:
The function of this mod should be pretty self-explanatory. Runes are what fuel everything in Elden Ring 's economy, from a player's level to the items they can obtain. The distribution of these Runes is pretty balanced, which means that players can only farm Runes over and over again before they get bo
Gain a couple of dozen levels though and come back with a Stonesword Key, and it becomes manageable. Inside is a death chariot puzzle and a boss enemy near the end. That would be the troublesome Ulcerated Tree Spirit but it drops a Golden Seed so the venture is worth it.
Deathbirds (and Death Rite Birds) are worth taking-out for two reasons: they're too ugly to be left alive, and they give all sorts of interesting loot. Some drop weapons, others drop shields, while still others drop talismans and other stuff. It's worth hunting down all eight monstrously hideous birds, but encountering them often depends on the time of day.
What sets it apart is its impressive Poise value, allowing its wearer to attack without being staggered by incoming blows. Its unique appearance includes a distinctive helmet and a bulky overall design, making it a favored choice for melee builds in PvP. The armor can also be customized to remove the cape, offering flexibility to suit different preferen
Despite being an optional boss, most Elden Ring players will cross paths with Commander O'Neil and his archers, either by accident or while following Millicent's quest line. When encountered in early to mid-game, he can pose quite the challenge. As an overworld boss, though, he can be led away from the battle arena straight into the Scarlet Rot-ridden swampla
Updated February 1, 2025 by Vlad Mazanko: The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is known for its devastating bosses, including a challenging final encounter that can be difficult to overcome without a Greatshield and high Stamina to endure relentless attack chains and powerful AoE combos. As such, knowing which shields are the best in Elden Ring is crucial for tackling the game's toughest batt
Golden Greatshield : One of the few Greatshields that's actually managed to improve with updates, Elden Ring 's Golden Greatshield is a phenomenal mid-late game shield, capable of tanking just about anything the game can throw at the player. Though the Golden Greatshield isn't quite as light as the Eclipse Crest Greatshield, its weight of 17.0 is still on the lower side when compared to the rest of its class. While the Golden Greatshield isn't the most sturdy option at first, upon being upgraded, it becomes one tough piece of gear, with a Guard Boost stat of 78. It doesn't have any special gimmicks, and it isn't quite as tough as the rest of the shields above it in this tier, but the Golden Greatshield is a great option for most heavier builds, especially when it can be easily farmed in both the Altus Plateau and Leynde
